Graduate Research Assistant
Casey Riffel is a Master of Public Policy student at Duke's Sanford School of Public Policy. He holds an MA in Sociology (social psychology emphasis) and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stanford University. He pursued cinema & media studies at the University of Southern California as a doctoral student (ABD). Riffel is interested in health policy analysis and worked as a mental health technician for Compass Health in California. His experiences in providing clients with mental health treatment have inspired him to view policy as a tool to drive reform in healthcare access and delivery. His background in both humanities and the social sciences lend him a defined interdisciplinary approach to research and complex problem solving.
