Graduate Research Assistant
Dan Stevenson grew up in Minnesota, and went to the University of Wisconsin – Madison for his undergraduate studies. At UW-Madison, he majored in Political Science, with minors in African Studies and Environmental Studies. After graduation, he joined the Peace Corps and served for more than two years as an Agriculture Volunteer in Cameroon. He returned home, and began the Master in Public Policy program at the Sanford School less than a year later. His academic interests are in food policy and food security issues.
At the Duke World Food Policy Center, Dan is working on categorizing and analyzing the landscape of stakeholders in the local Durham food space. The Center will use this analysis to better identify opportunities to engage with food policy in Durham, as well as inform other ongoing projects.
