Graduate Research Assistant
Nicole Lococo is a second year Master of Public Policy candidate. Before coming to Duke, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Asian Studies with a concentration in China in 2017, and then worked in Washington, D.C. as a paralegal. After working at the firm with natural disaster victims firsthand and talking to public policy professionals, she arrived at Duke as a graduate student. She has a particular interest in advocating for those persistently and systemically ignored or left out of policy, especially in the intersections of nutrition, health and wellness.
Nicole is a World Food Policy Center summer intern who assisting with a project to analyze and recommend solutions for the long and short-term impacts of the Coronavirus outbreak on the North Carolina food system.
