Duke Farmer's Market

The Duke Farmers Market is an annual market sponsored by LIVE FOR LIFE, Duke's employee wellness program. At the market you will find farm fresh produce, local goods, and healthy cooking demonstrations, while also learning about local food systems and supporting local farmers and independently-owned businesses.

Opportunities for student engagement

We offer internships in the Summer, Fall and Spring (30-40hrs/week) and recommend contacting Nick Beresic (nicholas.beresic@duke.edu) for more information. We are also working on developing a local foods access program; if you are interested in supporting this work, contact Cassandra Callas (cassandra.callas@duke.edu).

Students can engage with LIVE FOR LIFE through our internship program. Each semester 1-2 undergrad students are selected to be interns each semester. Typically these students are pursuing a degree in Public Health/Health Education or Health Fitness Specialist. In certain cases some graduate students are accepted, but that is not always the case. LIVE FOR LIFE also has both full-time and part-time job opportunities.
