Fan Xu is a second-year master’s student at Duke’s Interdisciplinary Data Science graduate program. Prior to attending Duke, he worked as a data consultant doing business analytics and data engineering. Fan has worked in research areas such as transcription factors regulating homeostatic neuroplasticity and expanding immune cell populations with microspheres. He is interested in applying data-driven solutions to healthcare and public policy. Fan received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brandeis University.
