Meron Gedrago is a second-year Master of Science student in Interdisciplinary Data Science at Duke University, originally from Ethiopia. She earned her B.A. in Mathematics from Amherst College. Meron worked with international aid organizations (e.g., USAID and FCDO) and government agencies in various industries as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and GIZ, working across Sub-Saharan Africa. She later joined the non-profit startup Prevail Fund, conducting research on education interventions that improve foundational numeracy and literacy outcomes in the Global South. Over the summer, she interned at Amazon as a Data Scientist, where she focused on causal inference.
